Created exclusively in black and white, Lung's work is detailed and elegant. Each one-of-a-kind piece is carefully thrown on a potters wheel, using high fire porcelain. He paints the entire pot with a black terra sigalatta slip, meticulously carving designs through the slip, exposing the white porcelain beneath. (Approximately 8 1/2" x 1 3/4") Joe Lung is no longer producing his sought-after porcelain pie. He is now carving in soapstone.
