Join us at the MountainMade studios for a four-hour rug hooking class Sunday January 17th from 1:00-5:00 with MountainMade artist and instructor Susan Feller.

Susan has been with MountainMade from the early days, selling a product line that includes coasters, lapel pins (the focus of this class), how-to-hook kits, pillows, rugs/runners, and wall hangings. She makes her living teaching and selling her work around the country.

Susan Feller is not only an accomplished MountainMade artist with a ride range of products, she’s a great rug hooking instructor. She brings color, texture and life to her traditional craft that dates back to colonial days.

Rug hooking is a very accessible craft. A little known rug hooking fact is that some of the most renowned hookers are men; this isn’t a ladies only craft. It allows for recycling wool and other fibers that would otherwise go to waste and results in original, lasting one-of-a-kind art pieces.

Students who participate in this four-hour MountainMade studio class will have the opportunity to try their hands at proddy and needle felting as well as finishing. During the four-hour session, most students will finish more than one lapel pin and have the tools and skills they need for a larger rug-hooking project.

You can learn more about the class here. Register online and save 5% off the cost of the course!
